Performing Arts

At ECS, we foster creativity, appreciation, and a deeper understanding of both Performing and Visual Arts.

Performing Arts

Whether performing on stage, harmonizing in an ensemble, or mastering an instrument, the Musical Arts program at ECS is designed to help students express themselves artistically, develop technical excellence, and grow in confidence through collaborative performance.

We strive to cultivate a vibrant musical community across our school, where discipline, creativity, and teamwork come together in meaningful ways. Through band and choir, students learn musical literacy, attentive listening, leadership, and unity—experiencing the power of shared artistry while pursuing excellence that resonates beyond the stage.

Band

We like to say that sometimes, ECS students just need to play. While exciting and expressive, band is a disciplined performing art that requires focus, precision, and teamwork. Band classes at ECS develop instrumental technique, music reading skills, ensemble awareness, and artistic interpretation—while nurturing perseverance, responsibility, and attention to detail.

Students learn the value of listening to one another, balancing individual excellence with collective harmony, and striving for continuous improvement. These skills are showcased in school concerts, assemblies, special celebrations, and community performances throughout the year, providing meaningful stage experiences that build confidence, collaboration, and musical excellence.

Choir

In choir, every voice matters—and together, those voices create something far greater than the sum of their parts. While joyful and expressive, choir is a disciplined performing art that develops vocal technique, musical sensitivity, and unified collaboration. Choir classes at ECS cultivate proper vocal production, harmony, sight-singing skills, and expressive interpretation—while strengthening focus, confidence, and commitment.

Beyond musical ability, students learn the importance of listening, blending, and contributing to a shared sound greater than themselves. These skills are showcased in school assemblies, concerts, special celebrations, and community events throughout the year, providing meaningful performance opportunities that nurture artistry, teamwork, and confident self-expression.
